The paintings are essentially derived from the legacy of Cardinal Joseph Fesch, who was none other than Napoleon Bonaparte&#8217;s uncle. He gathered the largest collection of Italian art ever established, a total of 16,000 works!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Old Town<\/span><\/strong><\/span>: Impossible to discover Ajaccio without passing through its historical center. Strolling through the narrow lanes of the old town, around the citadel and cathedral is a requisite for understanding the history of the city, founded by the Genoese in 1492.
